 | Bandito Alumni Ramirez signs with Washington Nationals Congratulations J.P. on becoming the latest Bandito Alumni to take it to the highest level. At the age of 9, we could tell that you had that special something by your work ethic and determination. This carried on until the age of 13 and we can honestly say that we have never had a kid that worked as hard as J.P. Literally spending 3-4 hours a day hitting in the cages. When he had a bad game, which wasn't often, he would want to work even more to find the adjustments. At 11, he went 13 for 13 with 5 homeruns and hit for the cycle twice in one weekend. The credit goes to his parents, especially Theresa, who would drive in from New Braunfels for practices and tournaments every week without missing. Now that is commitment! Well Theresa, it paid off! Good luck as you continue your quest to the BIGS! Put it in the book, J.P. will be hitting off Oswalt within three years. Thanks for your post on our message board. You are definitely a great role model for all the young Banditos!

2008 MLB Draft Picks - Bandito Alumni Shea Robin-Astros, Blake Stouffer-Nationals, JP Ramirez-Nationals, David Macias-Cubs, Kyle Walker-Rockies & Brett Parsons-Devil Rays
Who says that dreams don't come true? A total of six Bandito Alumni were drafted in the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. Every one of these kids started their baseball careers in the Banditos organization from the ages 8 - 14 years old. We can't say enough about how happy we are for these young men and their families. David Macias was the main reason for the Banditos Baseball Club getting started. At 5'8", he was one of the smallest guys in the draft...Thanks for paving the way! We can remember Shea as he was our FIRST lesson in Bandito Land at the age of 9. Shea would come full uniform with tube socks. Shea could hit then and can hit now. JP Ramirez was probably one of the best pure hitters we have ever had in the program. JP would come in from New Braunfels and would never miss a weekday practice or weekend game. Teresa, Thanks for your committment, it paid off. Kyle Walker was also one of the first Banditos with Shea and David, you deserve this kid. Who would have figured Blake Stouffer would go to Texas A&M with his Dad being a starting SS at Texas back in the day. Blake also never missed a Bandito event and drove the extra mile from San Antonio. Last but not least, Brett "Smokin'" Parsons, who no one ever gave a chance. Brett just committed to Texas A&M University and now has a big decision to make between college and professional baseball. Thanks for being great role models for all Banditos! We also want to Thank our brother Robert for playing a part in the development of these young men. Thanks Bro!

4 Banditos Drafted in June 2007 MLB Draft.
Texas A&M Aggie Blake Stouffer (4th Round - Cincinnati Reds) Congratulations Blake. Learning how to switch hit at a young age helped you tremendously. You are one of the All-Time best hitters, so keep working hard and you will be in the big leagues very soon. Texas Longhorn Bradley Suttle (4th Round - New York Yankees) We are PUMPED for you Bradley! New York Yankees? Are you kidding me? Alex Rodriguez's replacement just entered the building. A Chipper Jones body with Big League pop! You will be in the show very soon, keep working Bradley. Rice Owl Danny Lehman (8th Round - Minnesota Twins) One of the finest kids you will ever meet. Danny is a General and can handle any pitching staff around. You will be catching Johan Santana very soon. The Woodlands High School Highlander Taylor Grote (8th Round - New York Yankees) Are you kidding me? The Yankess again? Grote, you and Suttle will be in the starting lineup in the House that Ruth Built by 2009-2010. This kid is a total stud to say the least. An awesome kid with a big league personality. Gives me chills to have seen these four young men playing when they were 10 through 15 years old. They all have something in common, they had PARENTS that supported them 100% through the Banditos organization. They never got in the way. Good game or bad game, they were supportive no matter what. These kids took the Bandito way to the next level and were ready for the GREASE to say the least. Great young men and role models for all Bandito faithfuls. They were always the first ones at practice, no matter where they came from and the last one to leave. Going the extra mile is the difference in where they are at and where they are going. Put it in the books. All four will make it to the highest level possible. Anything less is unacceptable in their book. Great Job Guys! Continue the success in life and THANK YOU for being GREAT Bandito role models! Grote and Suttle - Tell Steinbrenner we want tickets. See you guys soon!
