The Banditos Black went into the very competitive USSSA Governor Games hoping to compete even though they faced great odds with having only 8 players and a 10 year old pick up player. The 9 boys played with unbelievable drive and with a “No Quit” attitude. The pitching and defense was outstanding and only allowed 5 runs in the first 4 games, 13 runs total in 6 games and the timely hitting produced 45 runs. As they entered Sunday as the #1 seed, the boys had to dig deep by playing back, to back, to back, to back games. Their gas tanks were getting empty by the second to last inning in the championship game but they had just enough left to cross the finish line. The character of this team really shined this past weekend and to overcome such great odds was a feat that was both impressive and unimaginable.
