The Banditos reached the Elite 8 of the 17u PG World Series in Arizona yesterday, advancing with a 5-4 pool-play win over the West Coast Mariners. The deciding win came after a hard fought loss to undefeated pool champion CBA Marucci 5-3. Both teams will be in the same double elimination bracket that kicks off Monday morning.
In the loss to CBA Marucci, Joe Davis had a 3 hit day with an RBI. Ryan Reynolds and Conner Capel had 2 hits apiece.
Capel continued his hot streak in the win over West Coast, collecting 2 more hits and driving in 4 of the 5 runs in the game. Tristan Metten also had a pair of knocks.
Game 1 today for the the 5th seed Banditos will be at 9:00 AM against #4 seed Elite Squad (3-1) out of Florida.
