WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (April 5, 2014) – Courtney Hawkins homered for the second straight game and followed with the go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth inning, giving the Winston-Salem Dash a 3-2 victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Saturday night at BB&T Ballpark.

Hawkins’ two-run blast provided the Dash with a 2-1 lead in the fifth inning. With the game tied 2-2 in the eighth, shortstop Tim Anderson led off the frame with a triple to deep right field. Hawkins then chased him home with a sacrifice fly to the warning track in right field, lifting Winston-Salem to their first victory of the season.
