Harper Gates powered the Houston Banditos 9u North at the plate and on the bump Saturday, willing the B9uN to a 7-0 victory over P2P Blue Sox. Gates held the Sox hitless over three innings, allowing no runs with 7 K’s, coming up huge in some pressure situations.
The offense exploded for the B9uN in the second scoring six runs, highlighted by an RBI triple from Owen Thomas. Other RBI’s in the inning were recorded by Nicholas Piñon, Krew Richter, Karson Reeder, Bryce Hillegeist, and Caleb Gonzales.
The B9uN have two more scheduled games on Sunday, with the opportunity to play for the Championship if they can place in the top two of pool play.
