MVP FOR THE MONTH OF May: Cameron Miller. Without a question one of the biggest prospects in Banditoland. This kid came to us at a tryout 4 years ago. This kid has worked his way up from the white and silver team to be one of the best premier players in the country. Bellaire High School has just landed a monster. Cameron has hit 53 homeruns in his last three years and counting. His break out year was in 2008 when he belted out 31 dingers in a 85 game schedule. Cameron has also shut down a lot of running games when he is behind the plate. Just this past weekend he hit a game winning grand slam at the battle of the south tourney in Tennessee that will be landing tomorrow. Congratulations Cameron Miller, you are this month's MVP.

ELITE 24 WRAP-UP
Banditos Baseball Club qualified 8 teams for Disney's Elite 24 Tournament and going in to this years tournament, there were high expectiations for a few teams and some teams were underdogs. When it was all said and done, it was a HUGE success for the organization. Six teams finishing in the top 5 is great feat for the boys, never in our wildest dreams did we expect the showing we had this magical week. We stood toe to toe with the toughest competition in the country and are proud to say that we were the only organization from Texas to bring home a Championship bringing our total to 33. The Bandito Nation was alive and well at Disney. Something always happens when you put on the Black & White. Read the exciting Elite 24 Wrap-Up Here.... |

The original Bandito. They said this kid was too small to play high school. They were wrong. They said he was too small to play at the college level. They were wrong. They said he was too small to get drafted. They were wrong. Keep telling David Macias that he is too small. A Woodland High School stand out and a Vanderbilt University all conference performer. Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2008 David did something that not many professional players do. Just yesterday he got called up to Triple-A by-passing the high-A and double-A levels. This 22 year old again was too small to do any of this. He plays seven different positions and learned how to switch hit at 11 years old. David is "THE" role model for every player here especially the small ones. We are wishing you all the best. I guess the next thing they will say is that you are too small to play in the big leagues. Good luck you are this month's Bandito Alumni of the month.
